Albany supply many gear pumps for OEM lubrication duties, this example being on a refrigeration compressor for a large company processing salad.
We had reports that there was a problem, possibly with the pump. Albany Service Engineers attended and working with the site engineers established that the complex control system for the lubrication circuit, which had inputs from numerous sensors, wasn’t quite set up correctly. A few changes were made and all was well.
The pump itself was underneath the compressor. We never needed to go near it, as all the work was carried out by looking at system data on the screen.
We were happy to work with the customer and pleased to report that the pump is running well.
