Albany GX Crown type gear pumps were selected by Re-Tec Manufacturing of London for a pivotal role in their design of packaged processing unit for production of fuel from waste oils.
The waste, a random mix of lubricating oil and kerosene, is heated, centrifuged, filtered and blended to produce a constant viscosity and calorific value for use in boilers, generators and marine/ agricultural diesel engines.
Re-Tec chose Albany Pumps due to the predictable flow rates at specific motor speeds, compact design with interchangeable pump heads, mechanical sealing and low purchase and operating costs. Five pumps on each package handled waste oil, kerosene and oil/kerosene blends at each stage of the fully automatic process.
